Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book a session with you?

You can book a session by emailing me directly at or by filling out the contact form on the "Contact" page. Once we have determined a date that works for us both, I will send you a contract that requires your e-signature and an invoice for a non-refundable deposit to secure the time for our session. This deposit will be applied to your final amount due.

How long does each type of session last?

The mini-session typically lasts around 30 minutes. A family session will last approximately 45 minutes. Due to the many needs of a newborn {diaper changes, feedings, etc}, the newborn session lasts approximately an hour and a half.

What should I wear?

Light, neutral colors and pastels always photograph best! It keeps you as the focus and not your clothing. I always recommend staying away from busy prints and patterns. The most important thing to remember is to wear what makes you feel most comfortable!

Where do the sessions take place?

Newborn sessions will take place in the comfort of your home. I will work with you to determine a location for mini-sessions and family sessions.

What is the turn around time to get my photos?

You should receive your edited photos within 2 weeks of your session.

How will I receive my photos?

You will receive an email with a personalized link to your online viewing gallery. You will then be able to download your photos directly from that gallery onto your personal computer. Please be sure to download your images right away, as your gallery is only active for 30 days. If you would like help ordering prints, I am happy to help recommend a service for that!

Where are you located?

I am based in Birmingham, AL.

Will you travel for my session if I am not in your city?

I am happy to travel for a family or newborn sessions. Due to the time and expense of travel, I do require a travel fee. Please contact me for more information. I do offer pop-up mini sessions from time to time in other cities, so be sure to follow me on Instagram and sign up for my email list to get updates!
